‘Displaced’ Brain Injury Matters Exhibition
with James Annett, Leslie Beckett, Rene Boyd, Trevor Elliott, Bridgeen Kelly,
Neal Lemon, Tony Matthews, Natalie Savage, Myrtle Shannon, James Stewart and Alexandra Topping
A photographic exploration of displacement by a group of individuals who all have an acquired brain injury. Themes of loss and change are viewed from inner experience of acquired brain injury and how society now views both it and them. A deeply thoughtful reflection of who they once were and who they are now mixed with how they are viewed and how they would like to be perceived, drawing heavily upon personal, physical, psychological, emotional and social experience of an acquired brain injury.
Displaced Exhibition was facilitated by Mervyn Smyth, Belfast Exposed and
funded by the Bombardier and Brain Injury Matters.
