Research has proven singing to not only strengthen the immune system but also to lower stress levels, helps with sleep, improves mental alertness, acts as a natural antidepressant, builds confidence and connects people. It's also great craic... What is not to like?

Using our voices is an incredibly empowering part of who we are, NI Mental Health Arts Festival invites you to take on the challenge of joining with others from across the country to learn a simple song a day from the comfort of your own homes.

Everyone is welcome of all ages and levels of experience. We will be learning a positive playlist of well known favourites by ear so you don't need to read or know anything about music to take part.

The rehearsals will take place 3.30-4.30pm daily on Zoom (Monday 18th until Friday 22nd) with the final meet-up at 11am on Saturday 23rd. Your mics will be muted so the only people who will hear you will be those in your house, the cat and maybe the neighbours... but you can just invite them to join in too!

You will be able to see everyone else and sing like no one is listening with our choir director Katie, who will teach you a new song every morning throughout the week and then on Saturday we will get all dressed up and have our very own in house gig together!
