Revival

Claire Miskimmin is a self-taught artist and musician based in Belfast. She works with a variety of mediums including drawing, collage, painting, photography and, most recently, film (directing numerous videos for her band New Pagans).

She is an obsessive collector, and her work is often comprised of images taken from old antique catalogues, vintage war magazines and found photographs. When collaged together they become strange figurative creatures, icon-like spectres often engaged in ritual and always firmly rooted in horror.
