Life Drawing

'Myth' has many definitions, one of which is 'a legendary story concerning some being or hero'.

This event, in which you'll be learning to draw the figure, is about finding, and celebrating each and everyone's legendary story. The person passing you in the street, sitting next to you on the bus, making your coffee in the morning - they're all heroes with their own stories.

Drawing has many benefits, one of which is it allows us to celebrate, further understand, and really see others. You'll be drawing from a live model with a professional artist on-hand to guide you through various techniques and materials.

This workshop is open to everyone, no matter your experience level and materials are provided. So, come along and learn how to observe and capture gestures, features, clothing and more through drawing.

Figure This is a body positive platform sharing creative ways to celebrate every body. We started Figure This in 2019 with the aim of creating life drawing classes that cater for all levels of experience. We wanted this space to be friendly, supportive, and inclusive, both for artists and for life models. We now provide in-person classes, online classes, private classes and more across Belfast and beyond. We're only just getting started and have lots of exciting plans, but our core motive will always remain the same, which is to create an open, accessible space where people can access the creative tools needed to reconnect with the body.
