Half Way Out Of The Dark

Re-Vision

The idea that performance exists only in the present moment has long been an obstacle for an archivist, marking the ‘nowness’ of the practice as one of its enduring artistic and political virtues. Re-Vision aims to present sediments of their 2021 theme 'Half Way Out Of The Dark' as an archival exhibition to be explored amid the importance of mental health and well-being.

The exhibition will take place in Flax Arts Project Space, 7 North St and run from the 13– 15 May.

There will be an artist discussion between the curators of this exhibition, Chloe Austin, Jennifer Alexander and Michaela Nash on Sunday 15th at 2pm, where they will explore narratives around the theme “Half Way Out The Dark” and consider the urgency and liveness of mental health within performing and visual arts.
